"Integrity has no need for rules" by Albert Camus
Click on the heading, Getting Started In Class to find an instructor introduction, navigation information and the required steps to begin the class. General information on eLearning courses can be found on the eLearning web page. Link to www.mesacc.edu/eLearning.
Announcements: Plan on checking the Announcements List every other day. This is how the instructor will keep you posted on due dates and important class information. Look for a weekly announcement every Monday (unless otherwise noted) with highlights for the week.
Email: You should check your assigned Maricopa Google email account. Link to http://google.maricopa.edu to access your account. Also, check the "Inbox" on the Canvas class site located on the top right of the page regularly. Asking question is encouraged and maintaining regular contact with your instructor is important.
Discussions: Student to student interactions will be promoted by participating on the discussion forum. Formal questions and recaps of the previous discussion will be presented by the instructor. Discussion forums will promote course content to student connections as well as foster instructor to student engagement. Students will need to respond to the instructor questions as well as two other student responses. Go to Discussion Index to view open forums.
Talk Shop: This is an informal communication cafe set up for student use. You may ask each other questions, add hot news items and post new topics related to the course. The Talk Shop can be accessed at "TALK SHOP" - Student Conversation Center----Open all semester.
