To assess a sample of student work, the evaluator will determine the level to which the student has demonstrated the following outcomes.

1. Analyze a given problem by

      • Formulating a question
      • Identifying relevant information
      • Identify missing information
      • Finding additional information needed

    2. Select or develop a model to accurately represent the data or information given in the problem (graph, chart, equation).

    3. Solve the problem with or without technology to achieve correct mathematical results using correct units of measure.

    4. Discuss, explain or demonstrate the use of the model for making inferences or drawing conclusions; review results for accuracy.
