CIS105 Fall 2021 8-week schedule
This is a very fast-paced course. Stay on top of your assignments and do not fall behind.
Follow the schedule for due dates for exams/assignments. All assignments have a specific due date. Anything with an *asterisk () has a due date variation. Some assignments can be submitted late with a 5% of points deducted each day late. Do not always rely on the Canvas calendar. To-do items are dates that are recommended for reading and videos. These should be completed before the assignments. You are expected to read, watch, and listen to the non-graded content. All discussions initial postings (your posting about the discussion) are due by the due date. Typically two days prior to week end initial posting (Friday). Classmate responses due by end of week (Sunday). Discussions close on the due date and are not reopened for late comments. Use the Canvas "what if" grade feature to calculate your own grades as you go along. Check announcements regularly. Screenshots: Many assignments require screenshots for submission purposes. The screenshot examples. Do not try to copy/paste anything from the instructor screenshots—your instructor has watermarks to distinguish if copied to ensure academic integrity. Mac students: there are some variations to steps. The instructor cannot fully support a Mac but provides some videos and areas you can find information. Microsoft training tutorials at Microsoft Support** show comparisons between the PC and Mac. Set aside enough time per week to complete the assignments. Some are time-consuming.
