Instructions

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS, **MUST READ**

You only have to read these instructions once, and they pertain to all the Lecture/Reading Quizzes you will complete in this course.

  • This assignment contains the lecture and the Lecture/Reading Quiz that you need to do before you begin the lab.
  • The quiz will have 5-10 questions. These questions are drawn from both the reading and the lecture, and they allow you to check your understanding, be exposed to the style of questions that will be on the exams, and practice critical thinking about the module's content before applying it in the lab.
  • You can go in and out of it as many times as necessary, as long as you don't click the Submit Quiz button. (Once you click Submit Quiz, you cannot resume the quiz attempt; it is over). This is designed so that you can complete the quiz whenever it is convenient for you before the due date. You can complete a quarter of it, finish a couple questions, go do what you need to do, and pick back up later, as long as you submit it by the due date.
  • You will get 2 attempts, and your highest score will be kept
    • To see the correct answers, you must use both attempts. The answers will only display after your 2nd attempt, after the due date. That means that even if you get a great score (e.g., 90%) on the first attempt, you must take it a 2nd time to be able to see the correct answers. Remember, your highest score will be the one that is recorded, so if you get 90% on Attempt #1 and 40% on Attempt #2, your final score will be 90%. So, I highly recommend you always take it a second time so that you know what the correct answers are. I know this is annoying, but unfortunately, it's just the way Canvas works.
    • You can either do both attempts before you attempt the lab, or save your second attempt to do after the lab to test how much you learned from the lab. It's up to you! (As long as you turn it in by the due date!)
  • As per the syllabus, there is no late work accepted in this course. That means that the quiz will lock after the due date, and you will not be able to see the questions. If you miss a quiz, you are still responsible for knowing the information in that module's reading and lecture.
