This project is a cross-college collaboration supported by the Maricopa County Community College District to design, develop and distribute publicly available, interactive and engaging multimedia modules on Arizona state government.

Our goal is to provide a one-stop source for non-partisan civic education learning resources focused on Arizona state government. This resource is freely available for use across Arizona, including MCCCD colleges, other higher education institutions, and K-12 schools.

Our plan is to produce a series of high-quality, professionally produced, value-neutral, fact-based, videos, lesson plans, printable materials, and activities that explain how Arizona state government is structured and identify points where citizen input can affect Arizona state government. In addition to the resources we create, we will provide links with attribution to other free resources that have been developed by other organizations. We are encouraged by the amazing efforts by many to promote civic engagement in Arizona.

Our long-term vision is to create six self-contained modules:

■ Arizona Territorial History and the Road to Statehood
■ The Arizona Legislature and State Legislative Process
■ Arizona’s Plural Executive Branch
■ The Arizona Court System
■ Direct Democracy: Initiative, Referendum, Recall
■ Local and Tribal government

We have completed one module, and are working on the rest. Return for more! Please contact us with any feedback using the links on the homepage.
